For our first post, we have a simple introduction with our favorite artists, albums, and concerts.

Favorite Artists/ Bands: Something Corporate, Motion City Soundtrack, fun., Tegan and Sara, The Beatles, Steel Train, Good Old War, Metric, Ben Folds, Keane, Yellowcard, Arctic Monkeys, The Gay Blades ( I could go on forever..)

Favorite Albums: North – Something Corporate, So Jealous – Tegan and Sara, Commit This To Memory – Motion City Soundtrack, Ocean Avenue – Yellowcard, Dog Problems – The Format, Origin of Symmetry- Muse

Favorite Concerts: This is really hard. I think that Something Corporate might be it though. The reunion was just so amazing! I never thought that I would get to see them live and I did. Another close favorite was the Andrew Mcmahon solo show. It was great to be able to hear the songs acoustically and hear the piano parts featured.

I’ve also been to two Tegan and Sara concerts. Obviously I love their concerts for the music but their banter is also fantastic. Bands have to have good interaction at concerts to win me over. One awesome moment came when Tegan accused Sara of badmouthing their mom. If you are a fan of them in the slightest you should be able to see the humor behind that. Another great part was when they talked about their adventure at the strip club.

Favorite Concerts:

Steel Train and Holly Miranda opening for Tegan and Sara were quite excellent as were Something Corporate. My favorite concert, however, is probably Good Old War with openers Audra Mae and Yukon Blonde.
